Choose from two installation styles
Rope wrapped around poles
Here the hammock net is attached to a round-pole frame by wrapping rope directly around the poles and weaving the net through it. This is our go-to method for exterior installations, offering a seamless, natural look that blends beautifully with the surrounding environment.
Purchasing options
We offer two primary methods for Organic Look nets.
HOW IT WORKS
If you are in Cape Town or the broader region, we can install your net on-site. Your frame and supporting structure must already be in place on-site - our team will then attach the net directly to your frame.*
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Hammock net + attachment labour & materials + transport
Frame not included, must be already constructed on-site
TIMING
Net production = ~1 week
On-site installation = ~1 day per net

2m x 1.6m
R 9,290

* Please note: Lux Nets focuses on supplying and attaching nets and pre-built frames only - we do not construct frames, posts or substructures on-site. These must be in place before we can install. If you'd like help planning, we offer site visits (call-out fee applies) to meet with you and your builder, check the space, and advise on frame design, positioning, and suitable materials.
HOW IT WORKS
For clients further afield that we are unable to visit on-site, we can build your frame off-site and ship it to you with net already attached. You then mount the frame on to vertical round posts. This option means you can still get the organic look even if you do not have a professional in your area to do net attachment.**
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Hammock net on pre-built round pole frame (75-100mm poles) with galvanised steel corner brackets
TIMING
Frame & net production = ~2-3 weeks

** Please note: Achieving a tight, safe and aesthetic fit requires installation experience. For this reason, we generally donβt supply βnet-onlyβ for Organic Look unless you have prior net attachment experience or access to a professional net installer. If you choose to attach it yourself, please be aware that we cannot guarantee the quality of the final fit and finish.
Eye-bolts in a frame
In this style, the hammock net is attached to eye-bolts anchored directly into the frame (whether timber, metal etc). This setup provides strong, evenly distributed support and allows for a clean, modern finish.
Purchasing options
We offer two primary methods for Modern Look nets.

HOW IT WORKS
For clients further afield or those that wish to attach it themselves, you can order the hammock net and eye bolts. Please note that nets are made smaller than the stated frame dimensions to allow for a tight fit and minimal sag over time.**

TIMING
Net production = ~1 week

** Please note: Because the net is made smaller than the frame, it must be pulled and stretched extensively to achieve a tight, safe and aesthetic fit. Please be aware that this can be physically demanding (sometimes requiring multiple people), and requires technical know-how to get right. While we can offer basic guidance, we cannot provide detailed advice or support on installation, nor can we guarantee the quality of the final fit and finish should you choose to install the net yourself.

We use Hemptex Rope
A gentle, synthetic substitute for natural fibre rope
Hemptex rope offers a soft, synthetic alternative to traditional natural fibre ropes.
Combining the durability and weather resistance of synthetic materials with the familiar look and feel of natural fibres, Hemptex is both strong and built to last outdoors.
Unlike natural ropes, Hemptex is hypoallergenic, wonβt rot, and doesnβt absorb water. Plus, its built-in UV stabiliser helps extend its lifespan even furtherβmaking it ideal for outdoor applications.
Compared to natural fibre ropes, Hemptex also breaks in more quickly and feels softer to the touch.
All of our ropes are carefully handwoven to ensure quality, strength, and a beautiful finish.
