Costs
Quotes for commercial installations are based on the following:
Net & attachment materials
The price of your nets plus attachment rope, hardware + shipping.
Installation
We charge a per-day installation rate based on project size and the number of installers required.
We typically aim to install at a rate of 2 nets per day with a team of two, though this will depend on the size of your nets. For larger projects, we will typically provide an installation team of 3-4+ men for faster installation.
Travel/flights & accommodation
If you are more than driving distance away from Cape Town, your quote will include the cost of return flights, onward travel and accommodation for the installation team.*
* Accommodation in a clean, functional space. This can be provided by the client directly or otherwise cover cost of rented accommodation e.g. from Booking.com.
Local transport or vehicle hire + fuel allowance
If the project site is some distance from nearby accommodation and/or food options, client to provide use of a vehicle during the installation period or cover the cost of a rental car plus a fuel allowance based on estimated mileage.*
* We will consider the provision of a shuttle service or concierge driver on a case-by-case basis.
Meal stipend
Meal stipend of R150/person per day.
Client requirements
To qualify for commercial installation, please note the following:
Framing & sub-structure constructed prior to installation
Lux Nets focuses on supplying and attaching nets only - we do not construct frames, posts or substructures on-site. These must be in place before we can install.
For organic look (rope wrapped around poles), we recommend 75mm-100mm machine-turned round pole frames, depending on the size of your nets.
For modern look (eye bolts into frame), we recommend 10mm eye-bolts with spacing of approx 180mm-200mm around the perimeter, starting 100mm from the corners.
If you would like help with planning, we can provide general advice during the initial consultation and detailed advice once the deposit on your quote has been paid.
3-month standard lead time
We require at least 3 months’ lead time to schedule a commercial installation, to allow for sufficient time for net production, shipping, scheduling and installation.
Your actual lead time will be determined by the quantity and sizes of your nets.
For urgent installations, the following rush fees apply (subject to availability):
20% rush fee for installations requested within 3 months
30% rush fee for installations requested within 2 month
Minimum 8 nets
For clients outside of our Cape Town catchment area (1.5 hour drive), we require a minimum of 8 nets to qualify for on-site installation.
If you do not require this many nets, you can consider our pre-built frame option.
Please note: Due to the variable nature of installation projects, some projects may be subject to other costs and requirements not listed here. These will be fully disclosed on your quote prior to proceeding.
